Principal’S message
Dear Families:
Happy New Year! I hope this letter finds you and your family refreshed and ready for an exciting and productive second half of the school year. January is a time for new beginnings, and at our school, we are excited to continue working together to support our students in reaching their fullest potential.
As we settle back into our routines, here are a few updates and reminders:
Mid-Year Progress (Grades K-5)
This month, teachers will assess students' progress in Reading and Math (via Acadience and iReady) and set goals for the remainder of the year. Progress Reports will be distributed on Friday, January 31, 2025, providing you with an overview of your child's academic and social-emotional development. Please review the report and reach out to your child's teacher with any questions or to discuss strategies for continued success.
Winter Wonderland Ice Skating Event
We're excited to invite you to our Winter Wonderland Ice Skating Event on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 12-3 pm. Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of skating, laughter, and community bonding. This event is open to all families of our school at a cost of $10. per person. Price includes skate rental and winter activities. Food will be provided at a separate cost (sponsored by the PTA). All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. See Ms. Rodriguez or Ms. Brimage for tickets.
Winter Weather Reminders
With colder weather upon us, please ensure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for outdoor activities, including recess. We also kindly ask that you label your child's clothing - such as jackets, hats, gloves, sweaters/hoodies, and scarves - to help prevent items from being misplaced.
Wishing you a joyful 2025!
Warm regards
